You can record satellite programming at any time.

The Viewsat Ultra Lite is an FTA satellite receiver. This means it receives free-to-air broadcasts through the connected satellite dish. Although the receiver does not have a built in DVR (digital video recorded), it is possible to connect a recording device to the Viewsat receiver. Once connected, you are able to record any programming you want to view at a later date.

Things You'll Need

  • 2 sets of RCA audio/video cables
  • VCR
  • VHS tape

Instructions

    • 1

      Plug the RCA audio/video cables into the "Video Out" ports on the rear of the Ultra Lite satellite receiver. Plug the other ends into the "Video In" ports on the VCR.

      Connect the second set of RCA audio/video cables into the "Video Out" ports on the VCR. Insert the opposite ends of the cables into the "Video In" ports on the television.

      Power on the Viewsat Ultra Lite receiver, the TV and the VCR. Set the channel to the program you want to record, then insert he VHS tape into the VCR.

    • 4

      Press "Play" and "Record" at the same time and the Viewsat Ultra Lite programming records directly onto the VHS tape.
