Instructions

    • 1

Cut off and moisten a small piece of the silicon carbide sandpaper.

    • 2

Wrap the piece of sandpaper around a pencil.

    • 3

Using your pencil as a buffer, rub back and forth on the chipped portion of the glass. Only a few strokes should be needed to smooth your glass rim to a usable and more attractive state. The fine sandpaper will work to sand your chip away, and will polish the rim to a shiny finish. When you're finished, a small chip will be smoothed over and barely noticeable. Larger chips will be noticeable as an indentation in the rim, but the smooth glass will be safe to drink from.
