How to Import VCF to Windows Mobile

Save

A VCF file, also known as a vCard file, is a standard file format for electronic contact cards. It's similar to handing out a business card but without the tangible card itself. VCF files enable users to share contact information with others by attaching the file to emails, webpages and via Bluetooth from device to device. Importing VCF files into Windows Mobile will require an established synchronization partnership between your mobile device and your PC.

  • Open Microsoft Outlook on your PC.

  • Click the "File" menu header and select "Import and Export." Select "Import a vCard File (.vcf)" from the "Choose an action to perform" list of options.

  • Click the "Next" button. Navigate to and select the VCF file you're importing in the Browse field. Click "Open" to import the file into Outlook.

  • Close Microsoft Outlook. Connect your Windows Mobile device to your PC using the USB cable that came with your device. Synchronization will begin and the new contact record will be imported onto your Windows Mobile device.
