If someone asks you for the time, he's not expecting an answer that is correct down to the very millisecond. But with the Atomix radio-controlled clock, that's exactly what you get. Atomix timepieces receive constant information from three atomic clocks, and according to the manufacturer, the clocks vary by only one second every 3,000 years.

Step 1
Lift the tab on the battery door on the back of the clock. Insert three AA-size batteries, following the illustration to ensure that you enter them with the correct polarities.

Set your Atomix clock near a window or another area where it can receive a strong wireless signal. Avoid setting the clock near other technology (computers, radios, etc.) or near metal surfaces.
Step 3
Slide the "Time Zone" switch on the back of the clock to reflect the appropriate time zone. Atomix clocks work only in the continental United States.
Step 4
Check the tower and wave signals on the clock. They should be scrolling. This indicates that the clock is searching for the appropriate radio information. The correct date, time and other information will display within five minutes.
Manual Setting
Step 1
Insert the batteries and set your Atomix clock in the appropriate area.
Step 2
Slide the "Time Zone" switch on the back of the clock to reflect the appropriate time zone.
Step 3
Slide the control switch on the back of the clock to the "Time Set" setting. Press the "hour" and "minute" buttons until you have reached the current time.
Step 4
Slide the control switch to "Calendar." Press the "Date," "Month" and "Year" buttons until you have entered the correct information. Slide the control switch back to "Lock" to avoid changing any of the settings by accident.
