How do I Slow Down the Speed on a Panasonic DVX100A?

Panasonic's DVX100A video camera gives you the ability to change the camera's shutter speed. The camera offers a wide range of standard shutter speeds that starts at 100 frames per second and can be as high as 2,000 frames per second. According to its owner's manual, the higher the shutter speed, the lower the sensitivity of the camera. Two buttons on the side of the camera allow you to change the speed.

Instructions

1. Turn on your video camera by moving the power switch to "On" while pressing the adjacent lock release button. The switch is on the rear right of the camera.

2. Flip open the video screen on the left side of the camera.

3. Locate the "Shutter" button and the "Speed Sel" buttons in the top row of buttons on the side of the camera. "Speed Sel" is on the far right and "Shutter" is to its immediate left.

4. Press the "Shutter" button to enter shutter speed changing mode.

5. Press the "Speed Sel" button to change the shutter speed. Your possible options are 100, 120, 250, 500, 1,000 or 2,000 frames per second.
