How to Convert a PC Mac Photoshop Filter thumbnail
Personalize the Photoshop images on your computer with filters.

Photoshop filters refer to tiny applications that act as add-ons to the software application. These filters enable you to create a different style on your Photoshop images, and do not require you to edit various parts of the image to accomplish this task. However, if you desire to use an image you created with Windows on a Macintosh operating system, you must convert the image first.

Instructions

    • 1

Go to the Adobe Exchange web page (see Resources). Click "Photoshop Marketplace." Choose the "Filters" option.

    • 2

Navigate to your current Windows filter. If you do not have the ability to locate the filter, enter the title of your filter in your "Search Photoshop" search box and hit "Enter."

    • 3

Click the filter on which you desire to work. On the right-hand portion of your filter, notice the kind of computer on which it operates. If you do not see the "Win/Mac" option, you do not have the capability to convert the filter.

    • 4

Download the filter to your laptop or desktop. Double-click your filter. Notice that it now also sits on the Macintosh desktop.

    • 5

Click "Next." Click "Install" to install your filter on your laptop or desktop. The next time you start your Photoshop software, you have the option to use the filter you just converted.
