How to Connect a Bluetooth Mic to a MacBook

Bluetooth is a short-range wireless technology that transmits audio and other data between different types of electronic equipment. MacBook computers, first introduced in 2006, have always included built-in Bluetooth. Once you connect a Bluetooth microphone to a Macbook, you can set it to act as the audio input for the computer.

    • 1

Click the "Bluetooth" icon in the menu bar at the top of the MacBook screen and select "Setup Bluetooth Device."

    • 3

Click the "Apple" menu and highlight "System Preferences." Click the "Sound" icon.

    • 4

Go to the "Input" tab. Click on the microphone in the list of input devices. Adjust the input volume at the bottom of the screen if necessary.
