How to Download ROMs Into My R4 Revolution

SD cards can be used to download ROMs to the R4 Revolution.

The Nintendo DS has thousands of titles as well as tools and accessories. Among the tools is the R4 Revolution, which allows users to store multiple files on one cartridge. With the R4 Revolution, users can run read-only memory (ROM) and multimedia files.

Things You'll Need

• R4 Revolution
• Secure digital (SD) card
• SD card reader

Instructions

1. Connect the SD card to the computer. Depending on your computer, you may connect the SD card via USB or place it into an SD card drive.

2. Open "My Computer."

3. Locate and select the ROMs you wish to transfer.

4. Click "Copy this file" in the left-hand "File and Folder Tasks" tab. Select the "SD/MMC" drive, then click "Copy."

5. Open "My Computer." Select the "SD/MMC" drive. Check to see if your files have successfully transferred and remove the SD card from the computer.

6. Place the SD card into the R4 Revolution adapter.

Tips & Warnings

• Do not remove the SD card while files are being transferred.

• Close all programs before copying files to the SD card.

• Downloading ROMs of games that you do not own may be illegal.
