      Open the slideshow and go to the slide that you want the music to begin playing on. For instance, if you would like the song to play throughout the entire presentation, insert the song on the first slide.

      Click "File," "Movies and Sounds," then "Sound from file." A dialog box will appear where you can choose a song from your computer.

      Double-click the song you want to play. The dialog box will close and a new prompt will open.

      Choose "Yes" if you want the sound to begin playing automatically or choose "No" if you want the song to play after you click the icon.

      Click the sound icon to select it.

      Select "Slide show" from the drop-down menu list at the top of the program then select "Custom Animation." This opens a dialog box.

      Select "Order & Timing" then click the song in the "Animation order" list from the resulting dialog box.
