How to Enable Bluetooth Discovery on an H470
The HP H470 is a small printer designed to accept printing commands from various portable devices like a phone or camera to eliminate the need for the middleman of a computer. One way for the device and the printer to communicate is wirelessly through Bluetooth. In order for your different devices to find your printer via Bluetooth, it needs to be made discoverable. You can easily enable the discovery of your printer and allow any device to recognize it for easy printing.

Connect your H470 to a power supply and start it up. Wait for the printer to stop making any noises to ensure it's completely initiated.

Take off the small plastic cover on the end of the USB wireless printer adapter and plug the adapter into the USB port on the front of the printer.

Power on the Bluetooth device that you want to discover the printer and enable the Bluetooth function in the device.

Set the device near the printer and wait for the printer to show up in the Bluetooth device menu. You will need to enter the passkey when prompted.

Find the Bluetooth passkey for your printer by opening the printer's Control Panel and choosing "Bluetooth." Click "Passkey" and select "OK" to see the passkey.

Tips & Warnings
If you have not changed your passkey since you purchased your printer, the default passkey will be 0000.
If you have edited any of the settings on your printer to perform differently, you may need to refer to your instructions on how to enable discovery.
