How to Configure a Blackberry Curve to Access Personal Email Accounts
A smartphone is not very smart when you cannot access your email. The BlackBerry Curve series allows you to configure 10 different supported email accounts, including personal and corporate email address. Being able to access personal email accounts is important to keep you truly connected.

Setup on Smartphone

Click the "Email Setup" option on the home screen. If there is no "Email Setup" option, click the "Setup Wizard," and then click "Email Setup." Select the "Create or add an email address" option and then click "Next."

Read the service agreement, and then click "I agree" to continue.

Click "Add" to add an existing email address. Depending on the Curve model, you may be asked to select the email account from the list; if it is not represented on the list, then select "Other." Enter the entire address in the space beneath "Email Address." Enter the password to the email address in the space beneath "Password." Click "Next."

Click "OK" after the "Setup Wizard" confirms that the email address has been added. Click "Close" to exit the "Email Setup." If there is no "Close" button, then click "Logout."

Click on the BlackBerry email setup page (see Resources).

Scroll to the bottom of the page. Select your wireless carrier from the options presented.

Log on with your BlackBerry account. If you do not have a BlackBerry account, click on "Create New Account." Read the service agreement. Check the agreement box and then click "I agree" to continue. Enter the phone's PIN and IMEI numbers and click "Continue." Create a username and password for online account management.

Click on "Email Accounts" on the home page, then click "Set Up Email." Enter the email account and password in the appropriately labeled boxes. Click "Next" to finish the setup. An icon for the email account will appear on your phone.
