How to Edit a Cell Phone Number on Yahoo Messenger

You can quickly edit a cell phone number on Yahoo Messenger. You can edit both your number and the cell phone number for a contact on your friends list in Messenger. It's useful to keep this information up-to-date if you want your friends to have access to your mobile number or if you want to have your contacts' cell numbers on hand.

Instructions

Edit Your Cell Phone Number

1. Log in to Yahoo Messenger and select "Messenger" from the top menu.

2. Click "My Contact Details" to edit your contact information, including your address and cell phone number.

3. Click the "Primary" tab and enter your 10-digit cell phone number in the form beneath "Mobile."

4. Click "Save & Close" to finish editing your cell phone number in Yahoo Messenger.

Edit a Contact's Cell Phone Number

1. Log in to Yahoo Messenger and look at your friend list to edit a contact's cell phone number.

2. Right-click over the appropriate contact and select "Contact Details" from the menu that pops up. The "Contact Details" window will open.

3. Click the "Primary" tab and enter your friend's 10-digit cell phone number in the box beneath "Mobile."

4. Click "Save & Close" to finish editing your friend's cell phone number on Yahoo Messenger.
