How to Troubleshoot a Verbatim Flash Drive

If you need to transfer data between multiple computers, a Verbatim flash drive will do the trick. When you connected your Verbatim flash drive to a computer and the computer said it was corrupt, you can format the drive, which Windows 7 describes as a partition. This will remove any problems your drive had.

Instructions

1. Connect the Verbatim flash drive into the computer with a USB port.

2. Pick "Control Panel" under the Windows logo in the bottom left corner.

3. Open the "System and Security" tab. Under that tab, click "Administrative Tools." Bring "Computer Management" up by double-clicking the left mouse button.

4. Click "Disk Management" under the left pane. Right-click the Verbatim flash drive and press "Format." Hit "Format" to clean the Verbatim flash drive.

Tips & Warnings

• It will take a couple of minutes to format the Verbatim drive.

• All data stored on the Verbatim drive will be erased.
