How to Setup Wireless Internet on a Mac

Mac computers use the built-in Airport card to connect to wireless networks. As is true when connecting to any wireless network, you need to know which wireless network you want to connect to, which can be identified by the network name (SSID), as well as the wireless security type and key. This information can be obtained from your network administrator or you should already have the information if you were the one who setup the wireless router. If your wireless router does not have wireless security enabled, it is highly recommended that you enable it.
