How to Replace a Tail Light Bulb in a 1995 Chevrolet C1500

Taking your Chevrolet truck to the shop for a simple bulb replacement is an unnecessary expense. With a screwdriver and a bulb replacement, you can take out the dead taillight bulb and replace it yourself. The 1995 C1500 tail light assembly unit can be easily accessed from the outside, and you do not need to take apart other components on the vehicle in order to access the tail light unit.

      Open the back endgate so that you can access the inside of the lamp assembly.

      Unscrew the two screws on the lamp assembly and set them aside.

      Grab the assembly unit and pull it out from the Chevrolet frame. It will still be attached by wires, so be careful not to pull it out too far.

      Turn the bulb socket counterclockwise and pull it out of the assembly unit. The bulb will be exposed.

      Pull out the bulb and then insert the new bulb into the socket.

      Re-attach the bulb socket to the lamp assembly. Put the two screws back into place.
