How to Reset the Password on OS X Leopard

Mac OS X Leopard integrates well with Windows and corporate environments, including password policies and requirements. Company password policies normally mandate frequent password changes for security reasons, which means corporate Mac OS X Leopard users generally change passwords more frequently than home users. Fortunately, forgotten passwords in Leopard are easy to reset on a home or company Mac. An account with administrative rights can reset the password on any other account, including another administrative account. This will not affect encrypted files or File Vault; the Mac keychain will be passed to the new password.
