How to Train Eyelashes
Eyelashes can be trained to grow upward using a few simple techniques on a daily basis. This can be helpful for lashes that grow naturally downward. Women lose an average of five eye lashes a day, though new eyelashes immediately begin to grow. New lashes can be curled to grow upward, prevent breakage and stimulate growth. Use a the curler to grip the eyelashes at the root and hold for 10 seconds. Repeat this exercise for eyelashes that grow downwards, but move the eyelash curler away from the root and hold for 10 seconds longer. Do this before applying mascara to avoid damaging your lashes.

Use mascara to add to the volume of the lashes by applying the brush close to the inner lid before sweeping the wand upward. This will help hold the eyelashes in the desired position throughout the day. Use an eyelash separator or eyelash comb to separate lashes after applying mascara for a thickening affect. Brushing the lashes can stimulate growth.

Condition the eyelashes by applying Vitamin E to strengthen them. Do this by breaking open a vitamin capsule and applying it to the roots of the lashes. Stronger lashes are healthier and have a longer life, which means they won't fall out as quickly. Other substances that can be used to condition lashes include caster oil and olive oil. For best results, apply on a daily basis after removing makeup.
