How to Connect to a Konica Copier to Scan
Konica multi-functional digital copiers can do much more than make copies. Once properly equipped, Konica devices can serve as a network printer, fax machine and network scanner. As more companies are using scanning solutions to better manage their paper and document work flow, scanning solutions are becoming quite popular. If you already own a Konica copier that is equipped with a network scan board, the process to set it up for scanning takes only a few steps. If you do not have a scan board installed, you must purchase and install the scanning board before being able to scan.

1
Load scanning software. Konica provides the scanning drivers with their scan boards. You will need to install the "setup.exe" file from the installation CD or download from Konica's website.
-
2
Pick a server to which the Konica will scan. Most commonly used are shared network file servers that can be accessed by all on the network. The Konica will send all scanned images to the designated scanner.

3
Run the "Device Finder" application. This application will be part of the scanning driver that you loaded in Step 1. The device finder will poll the network and locate any Konica scanners that are connected to the network. Once found, you will have to select the Konica device which creates a network map from the scanner to the server.

4
Run test scans. Place documents into the document feeder of the Konica device and select "Scan." The documents will be scanned and the images will be sent to the shared networked server for retrieval and viewing. Check the documents to make sure that all images were successfully scanned and check for image quality.
