1
Place one end of a pencil compass on a piece of red or pink construction paper. Create a perfect circle by slowly swinging the other end of the compass around in a full circle. Create a duplicate circle exactly the same size as the first one.
-
2
Cut out the circles using a pair of scissors. Test to see that the circles fits inside the envelope. Lay them back to back when you place them in the envelope. If it is too big, make a smaller size circles.

3
Dab a couple of drops of school glue onto the tip of a popsicle stick. Place the tip of the stick just inside the bottom of one of the circles, as a lollipop stick would be placed. The stick should reach no more than an inch into the circle.
-
4
Brush a thin layer of glue around the outside edges of the other circle. Lay this circle on top of the popsicle stick and other circle. This will hide the tip of the stick in between the two circles. Allow the glue to completely dry.
-
5
Write a Valentine message on one side of the lollipop. An example message is "How Sweet You Are!" or "You've Got Me Spiraling Out of Control." Use a marker or ink pen to get the message to show up clearly.
-
6
Spiral colorful pieces of yarn around and around on the side of the lollipop valentine. Start along the outside edge and move your way inward. Valentine colors such as red, pink and white look lovely, but you can use any colors you wish. Remember to place glue on the construction paper before laying down the yarn. Allow the glue to completely dry.
-
7
Tie a piece of ribbon around the lollipop stick, directly underneath the circles. Place the whirley pop valentine into an envelope and seal it with a sticker.
