How to Make a Background in Microsoft Word

Microsoft Word, the word processing component of the Microsoft Office Suite, may be your choice for typing proposals, cover sheets, papers and other documents, but Word offers more than just black type on a white background. When you want to dress up your forms or require a specialty background, rely on Word's menus and toolbars to add a design. With a couple of clicks, you'll find multiple ways to stand out from the black and white pack.

Click the "Page Layout" tab on the top of the screen. Click the "Page Color" button in the middle of the toolbar/ribbon at the top of the screen.

    • 3

    Gradient Background

    • 10
