How to Register a Windows XP Key

Windows XP, a Microsoft operating system based on Windows NT, became highly popular after its debut in August of 2001. While many PC users have moved onto newer versions of Windows, some still prefer to use Windows XP. During the online activation process, Windows XP allows users to register their product key to get updates about new products.

Instructions

1. Click on "Start" in the lower-left corner of your desktop.

2. Click "All Programs." Select "Accessories."

3. Select "System Tools" and click "Activate Windows."

4. Select "Yes, let's activate Windows over the Internet now." Click "Next."

5. Click "Yes, I want to register and activate Windows at the same time."

6. Enter your information in the registration window. Click "Next." After server activation is complete, click "OK."
