How to Turn Off Snap-to-Grid in PowerPoint

PowerPoint is a slide show application that allows you to create presentations. The application allows you to add charts and graphs to visually display your information. You can move these items around a presentation. When you drag-and-drop these items, they can automatically snap into place on the document's grid or sit exactly where you place them, depending on your snap-to-grid setting. You can disable this setting if you desire.

Instructions

    • 1

Launch the PowerPoint document that you want to manipulate.

    • 2

Click on the item in the worksheet.

    • 3

Click the "Home" tab in the main "Drawing" group. Select "Arrange" and then click "Align." Scroll down and click "Grid settings."

    • 4

Click "Snap objects to grid" to remove the check mark.
