Press "CTRL" and "C" keys to copy.

Cutting and pasting and attaching a document to emails are two separate functions. When you cut and paste, you have to first cut (or copy) the part of the document you want to paste, then you paste it into another document. When you attach a document to an email, you adhere the whole document to the email, not just selections. While cutting and pasting are the same in any program, the process of attaching a document to an email can vary.
