How to Tether a BlackBerry and a Dell
A BlackBerry smart phone can be used as a tethered modem with a Dell computer. Tethering the BlackBerry enables computer users to access the Internet from any location within the mobile carrier's network. The BlackBerry Desktop Software is a program specifically used for the BlackBerry. The program enables BlackBerry users to use the phone as a modem. BlackBerry Desktop Software can also be used to back up the phone and sync with applications on the computer. In order to use the program to tether a BlackBerry to a Dell, you need a "phone as modem" plan with your wireless service provider.
