When seeking a way to add two signatures to a check for use in QuickBooks, know that QuickBooks does not support a design template for vendor or payroll check in the "Layout Design Templates." In order to have two signatures on a check, you will need to order checks that are compatible with QuickBooks that contain two signature lines.

• The next sequence number for the vendor or payroll check
• A file copy of your company logo, if desired on check

Instructions

1. Decide which check type from QuickBooks you would like to use. If you want to see the checks available in the QuickBooks program, choose "File," then "Printer Setup," then from the drop-down menu, choose "Checks/Paychecks." QuickBooks has Voucher style checks, which show the check in the middle, with two detail stubs on top and bottom. QuickBooks also support Standard checks, three to a page. And Manual checks, three to a page, with a tear-off stub.

2. Access the Intuit QuickBooks supplies site at Intuit's website. (References 1)

3. Choose the check type that matches the style you have selected from the QuickBooks checks in the program. Choose "Get Started."

4. Customize your check on the screen displayed. Then choose "Next."

5. On the next screen, enter your company name and information and choose "Next."

6. Add the company Logo for your check on the next screen, or select "No Logo," then choose "Next."

7. At this screen, enter your bank routing number, account number and the starting check number, then choose "Next". Check the information when your bank information is displayed, if correct, choose "Next." If it is not correct, choose "Back" and make any changes, then choose "Next."

8. Choose "two signatures" from the signature area on the next screen. Then choose "Next." Proofread the check displayed to make sure all your selections are correct, then choose "Order" to obtain the QuickBooks checks with two signatures.
