How to Make a Headwrap
In many cultures, women have worn head wraps for decades. Women are now finding head wraps are wonderful accessories that can disguise a bad hair day or add color and pizazz to their look.
When making a head wrap, you can use any fabric you like, but using cotton or silk gives you better results. You can also use old clothing or a fashion scarf. If you can cover your hair and still tie the piece, it is large enough to use and will make a lovely head wrap.

Tying the Headwrap
-
1
Holding the short ends of the wrap, tie them around your head with the knot above the forehead. Allow the rest of the wrap to hang loosely from the back of your hair at the nape of your neck.
-
2
On one side, bring the the wrap to the top of your head and hold it so it covers a little more than half of your head. Do the same with the other side so your head is completely covered.

3
Hold the wrap where the length of your hair ends. Begin twisting the excess wrap so it twists up toward your head.
-
4
Bring the (twisted) slack up to the front of the head and wrap it around the side of the head, across the forehead and to the other side. Keep it taut so it appears neat.
-
5
When you finish wrapping, tuck the loose ends into a crease in the wrap and pin into place.
