There could be several reasons why your hair could be thinning. You could be using too much styling products and doing too much blow-drying or curling. You could be chemically treating your hair too much with hair dyes and relaxers. There is also the chance that your hair is reacting to too much sun exposure and heavy abuse such as ponytails that are too tight or very rough brushing. Whatever it is, there are surefire ways to get your hair growing full and thick once again without going to a specialist. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

Take vitamin supplements that contain D, A or B7, also known as biotin. Lack of proper vitamins in the body can cause hair loss in some people.

    • 2

Eat a proper diet consisting of whole foods such as fruits and vegetables. Also include grains, lean meats and low-fat dairy to help regrow hair.

    • 3

Get enough exercise. Cardiovascular exercises will improve blood circulation and result in better, healthier hair.

    • 4

Trim your hair. Thinning hair could be caused by damage to the hair, such as split ends.

    • 5

Moisturize your hair with shampoo and conditioner. Shampoo your hair only at the base where the hair is young and new. Do this twice a week. Condition your hair more often than you shampoo, concentrating mostly on the ends.

    • 6

Brush your thinning hair before a shower or bath. This will loosen up any dandruff that has accumulated on your scalp. Dandruff is a notorious cause for hair loss and thinning hair.

    • 7

Treat your hair to a massage with hair massaging oil at least once a week. Use the oil and warm it up a little but before applying it from the scalp to the tips. Massage the oil well into the scalp and wear a shower cap for 10 minutes before shampooing your hair.

Tips & Warnings

  • Be patient. Hair will not get thicker overnight. It will take significant time for the hair to be revitalized into growing again.

  • If thinning hair continues to be a problem, see a specialist or dermatologist who specializes in hair.
