Toshiba Flash Cards are shortcuts to specific applications that can be revealed by pressing and holding the function ("Fn") key on your Toshiba laptop. They may also appear when you move your mouse to the top of your screen. You can completely disable the Toshiba Flash Cards, but due to the way the software is set up, this may also disable your function keys on most models of Toshiba laptops. From the Flash Card settings manager, you can disable or modify the card settings to make them more user-friendly for your computing style. The exact wording of options may differ between Toshiba models.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you simply want the Flash Cards to be less bothersome, de-select the option that allows the mouse to bring up the cards or set the wait period before the Flash Cards appear to the longest possible setting. You can also de-select the option that keeps the cards on top of other windows.

  • You can disable specific flash cards by clicking the "Open card case" button in the Flash Card settings manager and following the onscreen instructions to remove specific Flash Cards.
