How to Adjust QuickTime Settings
Apple's QuickTime Player allows you to adjust several different settings for audio and video playback. Setting options for audio and video include the right/left balance control, volume, bass level, treble level, pitch shift, forward playback, reverse playback and playback speed. Setting options relating only to video include brightness, color, contrast and tint.

Open QuickTime. Go to the "File" menu and select "Open File." Select a file in the pop-up window and press "Open." You cannot access the settings without a file open.

Go to the "Window" menu and select "Show A/V Controls."

Adjust the slide bars in the "A/V Controls" window to your desired settings.

Click on the circle in the upper-left corner to close the "A/V Controls" window.
