How to Cut ATV Fenders

Cutting your ATV's fender to modify the look or make them fit better is not difficult. Every ATV fender is different and the way that you remove the fender from the frame of the ATV will be different as well. You will need tools the specific size for the bolts that secure the fender to the frame. You will need a saw to cut the fender and then you will need to prep the fender for primer and paint to protect the fender once the cutting is complete.

Instructions

    • 1

Place the fenders onto a table that is clean and dry. Using a pen, draw a line on the fender that you can follow when you are cutting the fender with the saw.

    • 2

Cut the fender using the miter saw. Cut the fender slowly without stopping. If you stop cutting then you might guide the saw away from the line when you start the saw and if you cut too fast then you might break the fender.

    • 3

Sand the edges of the fender where you cut the fender using the sandpaper. Clean the fender with water, soap and a towel to remove all of the dust from the sanding.
