Digital-video recorders offer an incredible convenience. However, DVRs are usually limited to one room, cutting into their usefulness. Various accessory manufacturers have endeavored to assist in sending audio and video to other rooms in the house in a wireless manner. Using radio-frequency technology in the gigahertz range, sending a DVR signal to another room can help.

Instructions

      Access the back of the DVR and the RF sending unit. Connect a yellow, red, and white composite A/V cable from the "AV Out" of the DVR to the "AV In" jacks on the sending base.

      Plug the included IR blaster into the "IR" port on the back of the sending base unit. Remove the adhesive backing, and stick it onto the black shiny plastic covering the IR sensor on one side of the DVR's faceplate.

      Plug the sender's AC adapter into the wall. Turn on the unit, and set the "Channel" switch to "CH1."

      Access the rear of the receiving base unit and TV in the second room. Plug an additional set of A/V composite cables from the "AV Out" jacks on the receiving base unit to a corresponding set of inputs on the secondary television. Set the "CH" switch to "CH1."

      Flip up the sender and receiver transmitting flaps to aim at one another. Make fine-tuned adjustments to perfect the image and sound from the main to the secondary zone.
