1
Position the subwoofer box in a safe and secure location in the trunk. You may need to tie the enclosure down using bungee cords or rope, as an enclosure with two Kicker CVR subs is a heavy unit and could slam back and forth in your trunk with every turn. You can also bolt or screw the box onto the frame of the car, but you may want the convenience of being able to remove it on occasion.

2
Connect the speaker wires from the amplifier to the subwoofers. Depending on the amount of channels the amp has, the number of ohms the CVRs have (they come as either 2 or 4 ohm) and the amount of ohms you wish to run your amp as, you have several different wiring options. You can run the amp at 2 ohms, which will put out more power, but may damage your amp or at 4 ohms which will produce less power but sound cleaner. Whichever option you choose, make sure the subs are not being powered over their limit.

3
Strip the speaker wire down 1/4 inch on each end using the wire strippers. To make a solid connection with metal on metal contact, you need to have the protective casing on the speaker wire stripped back. To connect to the amp, insert the exposed wire into the correct input and secure the mechanism that locks down the wire. Repeat the same process for connecting to the speaker. Amps and speakers have different ways to lock down the wire, but after you attach the wire, you should pull back lightly on it as well as from side to side to insure that it is securely fastened in place.

4
Turn on the stereo to make sure your connections are working and the subs are producing bass.

Tips & Warnings
Different enclosures can produce different results. Enclosures can either be sealed, meaning no air gets in and out, or ported, meaning air passes through the enclosure as the cone of the speaker moves in and out. The manufacturer's recommendations for sealed box size for Comp VR subs is a minimum of 1.8 cubic feet and a maximum of 5.2 cubic feet. For a ported box, the minimum size is 3 cubic feet and the maximum is 5 cubic feet.
