How to Boot Up a Flash Drive
While computers are usually booted from devices such hard drives, floppy drives and optical drives, you can also use a flash drive as a bootable device. However, simply inserting a flash drive and restarting your computer will not boot it from the flash drive. In order to properly boot your computer from a flash drive, you must manually select it as the first boot device from the Boot Device Menu.
