Online Instructions for a Stone Massage
You can perform hot-stone massage for relaxation and reflexotherapy and to improve blood circulation and relieve muscle tension. Hot-stone massage can also help those with arthritis and osteochondrosis. You can perform hot-stone massage at home -- the process is easy to learn and perform.

Gather six smooth oval stones.

Fill a medium-sized microwaveable bowl with water.

Heat the water so that it's hot but not boiling, then place the stones in the warm water.

Have the massage recipient lie face down on a massage table or bed. Apply massage or body oil to their skin.

Leave the stones in the water until they're warm.

Place the person's arms at their sides with their palms facing upward. Place a stone in each palm and on the bottom of each foot.

Position one stone on the lower back on each side of the spine.

Rub the stones on the back in a circular motion and slowly make your way up, keeping the stones on each side of the spine.

Massage the neck and shoulders with the stones, adding oil as needed. The stones should slide easily on the skin.

Move to the hands and feet. Massage with the stones you placed earlier in the palms of the hands and on the feet.
