How to Upgrade Computer Game Graphics
If your computer's graphics are unsatisfactory and you want a display with enhanced quality, consider upgrading your graphics card. The graphics card is the component in your computer which is responsible for drawing, rendering and displaying all graphical elements--including games--on the monitor. A low-grade graphics card is often to blame for a poor viewing experience.

Consult with your motherboard manual to determine what type of graphics card will fit into your computer.

Purchase a graphics card which is compatible with your computer. Look for a card that is higher-quality than your current card. Compare the technical specifications of your old card with new models to find a suitable upgrade.

Remove all screws on your computer case. Slide off the side panel to reveal the motherboard.

Locate the video card and unscrew it. Gently pull the card to remove it from its slot.

Insert your new graphics card into the same slot. Push down gently until your hear the card lock into place. Secure the card by screwing it into place.

Attach the side panel of your computer case by re-attaching the screws. Power up your computer and insert the driver CD which came with your graphics card. Move through the installation software to complete the installation of your graphics card. You may need to restart your computer after installing the software.
