How to Add a Bluetooth
Adding Bluetooth devices to your computer is simple, even if your computer didn't come with a Bluetooth adapter. Bluetooth wireless is popular for its low power use and easy setup. Most laptops and cell phones are Bluetooth-enabled, though this trend has yet to take hold in the world of desktop computers. Once you've got your computer set up for Bluetooth, you can "pair" it with keyboards, mice, headsets, or even other computers, without the hassle of wires or cables.

1
Insert a Bluetooth USB adapter into your computer if it doesn't have a Bluetooth adapter. Windows should automatically install drivers for it.
-
2
Place the Bluetooth device in "Discovery" mode. Different devices use different commands for this, but most devices, such as headsets, speakers, or keyboards, are placed in "discovery" mode either by pressing their "Connect" button or holding their main control button until its indicator lights flash.

3
Open "Devices and Printers" from your computer's "Start" menu and click the "Add a device" button.
-
4
Select your device and click "Next." Use "0000" when asked for a security pass key; most devices use it by default.
