You can use a Bluetooth headset as your computer's microphone, once it's connected.

The Bluetooth wireless communication protocol is used by dozens of devices to connect to each other without the hassle of cables or wires. Most laptops come with an internal Bluetooth adapter that enables them to connect to Bluetooth devices, and desktops without internal Bluetooth can add it by installing a USB Bluetooth dongle. Connecting a Bluetooth device to a Bluetooth dongle installed in your computer is quite a simple process, managed by Windows' "Add a Device" wizard.

Instructions

    • 1

Place the device you want to connect to the Bluetooth dongle in "discovery" mode. This process is different for each device, though most involve holding a button or two down until the device's indicator lights begin to flash.

    • 2

Open "Devices and Printers" from your computer's "Start" menu and click the "Add a device" button. Your computer should find your Bluetooth device in a few seconds.

    • 3

Click on your Bluetooth device, then click "Next."

    • 4

Enter the device's security passkey when prompted. Most devices use "0000" by default, though more complex devices like PDAs and smartphones sometimes require a more complicated password, which should be shown on either its screen or the computer's.
