How to Graph on a TI-84 Plus Silver Edition

With its upgraded apps and USB capabilities, the TI-84 Plus Silver Edition could seem a little intimidating. The functions of the graphing calculator have fortunately remained straightforward, allowing for easy equation graphing.

• TI-84 Plus Silver Edition calculator

Instructions

1. Press the "Y=" button on the left-hand side of the graph keypad area just below the calculator's screen. The screen will display seven equations labeled Y1 to Y7.

2. Enter in the equation after the equation labeled "Y1." If your equation was "4x+1," you would press the "4" button, then the "X" key, which is located next to the green "Alpha" button near the top, then the "+" key, and then the "1" button.

3. Press the "Graph" key on the right-hand side of the graph keypad area just below the calculator screen. The screen will display the graph.
