Instructions for the Sony Cybershot DSC-P200
Released in 2005, the Sony Cyber-shot DSC P200 compact digital camera is a very thin point-and-shoot model that will easily fit in your jacket or purse. The camera is equipped with a 7.2-megapixel sensor and 3x optical zoom Carl Zeiss lens. Other improvements included a larger review screen on the rear of the camera, an additional metering mode and the addition of a custom white balance setting that allows photographers to select an object or item that the camera's white balance can be set to. The camera was available in three colors, silver, black and red.

Insert the camera's rechargeable battery and "Memory Stick" card in the combined battery and memory stick compartment that is accessible on the bottom of the camera.

Turn the Sony Cyber-shot DSC P200 on by pressing the power button located on the top of the camera. Since the camera is very thin, there are only two controls on the top of the camera, the power button and the shutter release.

Press the menu button located on the back of the camera and press the directional buttons to scroll through the menu choices that appear in the bottom of the LCD screen. Press the "F" icon in the menu to select the focus mode, press the directional button and select "Center AF," and press the button in the middle of the directional buttons to lock in your setting.

Press the menu button again, and use the directional buttons to select "WB" from the menu, select "Auto" and press the middle button to set your selection.

Press the menu button and, using the directional buttons, select "ISO," then select "200," and press the middle button to lock in your choice.

Slightly press the shutter release button to return the camera to shooting mode.

Hold the camera with two hands and use your right thumb to adjust the 3x optical zoom lens by pressing the rocker switch with the letters "W T" on it. This button will power the zoom lens when the camera is in shooting mode. The button will also magnify the image on the review screen when you are reviewing pictures.

Adjust the zoom setting of the lens to compose the picture. You can look through the camera's small viewfinder or use the LCD screen. When you have composed the picture you want, press the shutter release button all the way to take the picture.
