How to Install a New Kitchen Faucet Sink Sprayer
A faucet sink spraye can be used for rwashing vegetables, clearing food from dishes or rinsing down the sink surface.
Whether to repair a broken sprayer head, add a replacement hose clogged with sediment build-up or simply adding this new feature that was not included with the original fixture, installing or replacing a kitchen faucet sprayer is a simple procedure and adds a useful tool to your kitchen sink.

- Kitchen faucet sink sprayer kit
- Teflon tape

Turn the water supply off to the kitchen faucet at the two supply valves beneath the sink, then open the faucet handle to release any water left in the faucet spout.

Loosen and remove the brass hexagonal plug nut from the base of the kitchen faucet, located under the sink at the fixture connection. This plug is typically located at the end of a copper tube that is clustered with and slightly longer than the water line connections at the center of the fixture base. This copper tube is the sprayer hose water supply line.

Remove the metal hole insert from the sink rim, located to the side of the main faucet housing, by prying it out using the tip of a screwdriver. If you are doing a sprayer replacement, the existing sprayer holder hole can be reused.

Insert the sprayer holder's threaded bottom piece upward through the sink hole, then secure the holder in place with the chrome escutcheon nut threaded onto to the holder base until snug.

Feed the connection end of the new sink sprayer hose down through the sprayer holder, and insert the hose until the sprayer handle slips into the holder.

Apply a layer of Teflon tape to the threaded end of the sprayer hose connection tube, wrapping the tape clockwise.

Connect the new sprayer hose's hexagonal connection nut to the end of the copper water line beneath the sink base and tighten until snug, then use an adjustable wrench to turn the nut clockwise 1/4 turn to complete the tightening.

Turn the water supply to the kitchen faucet back on at the two valves beneath the sink.
