How to Manually Update Zone Alarm

Zonealarm offers firewall and anti-virus software solutions.

ZoneAlarm is a line of products, including a firewall and an anti-virus program. ZoneAlarm may also monitor your credit bureau information and protect you from phishing attacks. Depending in your needs, you may have the basic protection of ZoneAlarm Pro or ZoneAlarm Anti-Virus, or the more stringent ZoneAlarm Extreme Security. You can set the program to automatically download or complete a manual update to ensure that ZoneAlarm is best able to protect your computer.

Instructions

1. Launch your ZoneAlarm program on your computer.

2. Click "Overview" from the left pane.

3. Click to activate the Preferences tab.

4. Click the "Check for Update" button in the "Check for Updates" section.

5. Click the appropriate link, such as "Download Now," to download any updates the program finds.

6. Select a familiar location on your computer to save the updates.

7. Double-click the file, after it downloads, to begin the installation process.

8. Follow the installation prompts to update your software.
