How do I Program a Sony Remote for a Visco TV?

Programming a Sony remote to a Visco TV can be done in a couple of minutes with no hassle, or it can be frustrating and take a bit longer depending on how many program codes you have to enter. Even in the worse-case scenario where finally the very last code on the list is the one code that works, the entire process won't take long and results in having a functional remote for your TV.

Instructions

1. Turn on the Visco TV. Go to the TV codes website of your choice (see Resources) and find the code to program your Sony remote to your Visco TV. Press and hold the "Power" button on the remote control. While holding the power button, use the number pad on the remote control to enter the program code.

2. Release the power button on the remote control. Point the remote at the Visco TV to which you are programming the remote and press the "Power" button. If the Visco TV turns off, then the programming worked. If nothing happens and the Visco TV stays on, continue to the next step.

3. Move down the list of programming codes and repeat the process with each code listed until one works. It's common for programming codes not to work for all Sony remotes and Visco TVs. Once you find a code that works, the TV will turn off when the "Power" button is pressed.
