How to Dial Numbers on VoIP Services
Voice over Internet Protocol or VoIP is an Internet-based telephone service that runs through any computer equipped with a high-speed broadband connection and a VoIP adapter. Because the VoIP phone system uses an Internet connection, a traditional landline connection is not required. The VoIP telephone, once connected to the VoIP adapter, functions just like an ordinary telephone. You can use your VoIP service to call anyone in the world, and the person on the other end of the line does not need to have a VoIP phone.
Instructions

1
Plug the telephone cable into the "Out" port on the VoIP adapter.
-
2
Plug the other end of the cable into the "In" port on your telephone.

-
3
Pick up the telephone that is now connected to the VoIP adapter. Dial the desired phone number with the area code just as you would with a traditional landline service. Your call is routed across the Internet and a connection is established with the dialed number.
