How to Expand Zip Files on a Mac
A zip file, identified with the file extension "zip" or "ZIP," is a common data compression format. The zip format is used to compress one or more files to reduce their size and make them easier to send or store. The zip file format can be used with PC or Mac operating systems. If you receive a zip file on a Mac, decompressing or "expanding" a zip file is just a few clicks away.
