How to Send a Free Vodacom SMS

Vodacom is South Africa's leading wireless phone provider. Same as America, Vodacom has many mobile phones to choose from and many cost efficient plans. In addition, Vodacom offers its customers the ability to send free SMS messages with the use of its Email2SMS service. Vodacom users are allowed to send up to three SMS messages per day to any Vodacom phone from their email. The message is then forwarded as a SMS message to the recipient phone.

Instructions

1. Visit Vodacom Email2SMS web page and register for an account.

2. Visit your email account and select the option to compose a new message.

3. Enter the recipient's mobile phone number followed by "@voda.co.za" in the "To" field. (Ex. [e-mail])

4. Enter your message in the email field. The message cannot be over 140 characters.

5. Click the "Send" button to transmit your message as an SMS text. Replies will be sent to your email. You can reply to the SMS message from your email, in the same manner, as you would an email message, except replies must remain under 140 characters.
