How to Make Your Own Net Website
You can make an Internet website with any number of freeware or commercial web design programs. Popular website programs include Adobe Dreamweaver and GoLive. Free online website templates are available when you sign up for free blog accounts with websites like Blogger and Wordpress. To set up a free blog website, just follow the setup instructions provided at the website of your choosing. To build your own 'net website, download and install any web design program to get started.

Open your web design program and complete the registration, if required. If you installed a free trial version of the software, make note of when your trial expires and be sure to finish the website before then.

Start a new website project. In Dreamweaver and GoLive you'll choose "File" then "New Website." Other programs will have a similar option. The program will automatically create your website folders and a blank page for your site.

Design your website using the design tools in the toolbar. Text and color can be added and customized by clicking on the text or color button, respectively.

Add forms, links and images using the appropriate buttons in the toolbar. Adding elements only requires pushing the button and clicking on the website window to place the element on the page.

Save your website when the design is finished and upload all the website files and folders to your web host. Most design programs have an option to automatically upload your website via FTP. You can set this function up by going to "File" then "Server" or "Connect to FTP..." depending on your program. Enter your web host login information to upload your site.

Tips & Warnings
Follow your web host's instructions for uploading your website. Different web hosts have different procedures.
Upload all the files in your website folder, including all the images. Failure to upload all the files will result in broken links and missing images.
