How to Do Fractions in Microsoft Word

Microsoft Word 2010 comes equipped with many formatting features, giving writers ample freedom to customize a document as they see fit. For instance, the program automatically formats commonly used fractions, such as 1/2 or 1/4, to display properly. For less-used fractions, the program does not automatically convert the formatting. In those instances, Word 2010 owners can use the program's built-in Equation tool to create properly formatted fractions.
