How to Unlock My Sony Dvp-Fx820

The Sony DVP-FX820 is a portable CD/DVD player. As with non-portable CD/DVD players, the DVP-FX820 CD/DVD player allows adults to set password-protected parental controls to stop younger users from viewing certain DVD content. Once the Parental Control settings are set and disc viewing locked, the only way to view content rated higher than the set level is by entering the correct six-digit password that you chose originally when you set up the Parental Control lock.

Tips & Warnings

  • If the disc doesn't resume playback, press the "Stop" button. Press "Options" on your remote control. Highlight "Setup" on the menu and push the "Enter" button. Select "Parental Control," push "Enter," choose a Parental Control level higher than the previous setting and push "Enter" again. Input your password and then push the "Play" button.
