How to Upload Frontpage Web Pages to Bluehost thumbnail
You can transfer entire folders with an FTP client.

Web pages created with Frontpage are HTML files just like any other Web page. Therefore, they can be uploaded to Bluehost in the same way any file can be uploaded to a server: through a File Transfer Protocol, or FTP. An FTP client allows you to transfer files (including HTML documents) from your computer to your server at Bluehost. Transfer your images and other files to your server through the FTP client also to include the images you specify in your HTML document in your Web page. There are a number of FTP clients available to accomplish this task; many of them, such as FileZilla, are available free of charge.

Instructions

  1. FileZilla

    • 1

Download and install FileZilla. FileZilla is an open-source FTP client and is available for Windows, Mac and Linux.

    • 2

Open FileZilla and establish a connection with the Bluehost website. Click the "Site Manager" icon in the tool bar. Click the "New Site" button, then enter a name for your site.

    • 3

Enter your IP address or domain name, omitting the "www." For example, write "example.com." Change "Logontype" to "Normal," then enter your user name and password. Leave "Servertype" as is and change "Port" to "21" if this value is not already specified. This information was sent to you via email when you signed up with Bluehost.

    • 4

      Save the information. Click "Connect."

    • 5

Drag and drop your HTML files and other files you want to transfer from the computer side of the partition to the server side.

Open SmartFTP, then select "File" and "New Remote Browser." This will start the connection process to Bluehost.

    • 8

Enter the necessary information, including your domain name or IP address, user name and password. If you don't know your server's security capabilities, leave "Protocol" as "Normal FTP." Bluehost provides this information in the welcome email upon signing up for your account.

    • 9

Drag and drop your HTML files and other files you want to transfer from the computer side of the partition to the server side.

    • 13

Drag and drop your HTML files and other files you want to transfer from the computer side of the partition to the server side.

Tips & Warnings

  • Change the file name of your homepage to "index.html." This is the way the server at Bluehost knows what the main Web page for your website is and which pages are sub-pages.
