How to Hook Up a Sound Bar

A sound bar is a single speaker that allows you to have home theater-like sound. A sound bar does not however, provide surround sound. Many sound bar systems also include a subwoofer, which helps with bass and gives sounds an extra kick. Setting up a sound bar is relatively easy because it is a single speaker as compared to surround sound systems which require connecting the speakers correctly into the receiver with speaker wire.

Things You'll Need

• RCA cables (red and white)

Instructions

1. Place the sound bar under the center of the TV.

2. Connect the red and white RCA cables from the audio out port on the TV to the Audio Input on the back of the sound bar.

3. Connect a single RCA cable from the subwoofer to the back of the sound bar.

4. Plug the sound bar in.
